Cindy Whitfield is the Health Science Instructor at Tishomingo County Career and Technical Center. She received her Diploma in Nursing from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee. She later received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing: Nurse Educator at the University of North Alabama. Prior to coming to the Tishomingo County Career and Technical Center, she worked at Iuka Family Clinic for ten years and Iuka Elementary School for seven years. 

This is Mrs. Cindy’s fourth year at the Career and Technical Center and she enjoys watching students’ knowledge expand as the year progresses. She feels that this course gives students an excellent opportunity to determine whether or not a career in health care is what they wish to pursue in the future. Even if students decide to   pursue a career in another field, Mrs. Cindy feels the knowledge they obtain from this course will be very beneficial no matter what profession they choose. Mrs. Cindy is the HOSA: Future Health Professionals advisor.
